Empowering Ethnic Minorities Series - Expression of Interest Form 2022/23

As part our commitment to race equality, NTU Employability are hosting a series of on campus panel discussions and networking opportunities, focusing on the career journey of ethnic minority professionals across 5 sectors: Law, Business, Creative, STEM & Public Sector.

NTU students come from diverse backgrounds; be that because of gender, ethnicity, social-economic status, disability or education. We would like to encourage a range of guest speakers who reflect the diversity of our student body. Around 30% of our student body come from non-white backgrounds, and as such we actively encourage employers to bring representatives from a similar background to our events. This is particularly important for this event series, which aims to inspire students through the power of representation and belonging.

Please note, this series is being delivered across NTU campuses, so attendance in person will be required. Specific locations will be given once your participation on the panel is confirmed. Sessions may be recorded or live streamed to maximise student engagement.

Photography for on campus events

In line with the GDPR, we are obliged to inform you that we may film and take photographs on the day if your event is in person. Any images we take are for Nottingham Trent University’s marketing purposes, therefore you could see yourself on the University’s website, or in our prospectuses and course brochures. These images could also feature in internal and external newsletters and in future open day advertising. In addition, they may also be used in local or national newspapers, educational magazines and for advertising the University publicly. Please also note that some photographs will be streamed live and immediately online.

On the day of the event, you will be asked for consent in order to use your photograph for the purposes listed above. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, we will be sure to omit you from any such activity.

Recording online events

We are obliged to inform you that events delivered online will be recorded and could be used as a resource for students in the future. If there is an issue with your session being recorded, please contact talent@ntu.ac.uk
